Ubud Village in Bali, Indonesia, 2007. Mesmerised by the magic of the ‘Island of the Gods’ with its exotic smells, tastes, sounds and fascinating landscapes, I first discovered the ancient art of Balinese skull carving.
Appreciation of Life & Art
Back in 2007, I was immediately struck by the intriguing beauty and aura of water buffalo skulls. The fascinating mystique behind the creation challenged my mind and was effortlessly beautiful; a product that combined the passing of a creature while encompassing the vibrant structure of life. They are piece of design that respectfully continues the passage of life while existing as an example of natural craftsmanship. Like a golden thread, these unique pieces of art crossed my path in life in many ways. It was in 2015, I decided to share my passion for skull art by creating Kaazo.
Great art picks up where nature ends.
